ABOUT WILD VIOLET FLOWER FARM

Wild Violet Flower Farm was started in 2019 by Sam Webb, it is a micro flower farm located in the Yarra Valley, Victoria, Australia. It is where I get to grow all the beautiful cut flowers I have adored growing over the many years I have been gardening, long before I made the switch to farming on a larger scale.

Growing so many different flowers provides me with gorgeous mix of fresh blooms over a lovely long harvesting season. Supplying both retail to the public and wholesale to florists. My blooms are grown without nasty chemicals or pesticides, so bees can happily feed from the flowers, and you can rest assured the flowers are not covered in nasty sprays. Not only do I care about providing the freshest and most perfect blooms but I recognise the importance of doing in the most natural way, by using things like beneficial insects to combat pests and always working on the health of my soil, farming with no dig beds, which in turn gives me healthy productive plants.

I also have an online shop, supplying a large range of seeds from my favourite cut flower varieties and veggies, chrysanthemum plants, a large range of dahlias tubers, dahlia plants, cut flower potted plants and being the plant collector that I am, I offer a huge range of berry plants. The berries are grown in my edible home garden which is separate to the flower farm, my home garden is where I started growing the large range of flowers well before I started my farm over 14 years ago, it is full of berries, veggies, fruit trees, flowers, our bee hive and happy free ranging chickens wandering between the garden beds. All handcrafted garden metal work and flower presses on the website are created by my husband Bren, who is incredibly creative and can make almost any thing I dream of for the garden.

My retail, wedding and DIY flowers can be purchased online, or another way of supporting my small farm and buying locally grown blooms is by shopping via the farm stand, which I stock with the freshest blooms most weekends during the growing season from Sep to May.

I am an enthusiastic grower of a productive micro flower farm and an edible garden, I have always adored flowers and have been growing them since I was a child. I adore collecting things hence my ever growing dahlia, chrysanthemum, bearded iris, and berry collections. In my spare time which lets face it I wish I had more of, I do love hikes on the local mountains and finding waterfalls with my family (my husband Bren and our 3 boys). I also enjoy whale watching, surfing and body boarding, kayaking, snorkeling and camping. My dislikes are running grass, untangling hoses and string and when the hose pops off the tap and sprays me.
