Ugly duckling stock are farm grade tubers that I would have no problem planting myself, however, they are not quite perfect tubers. The tubers themselves will grow perfectly fine but they that might have a bit of skin missing, be a smaller tuber, or have a healed up cut on the tuber, they will still grow and become beautiful plants with lots of blooms.

Dahlias prefer a full sun to part shade location and Tropical Dream prefers a sheltered position, plant out after the risk of frost has passed and protect from slugs, with continuous dead heading Dahlias will bloom from summer up until the first frost.
