An old variety that can be grown as an annual or a perennial. Plants grow very tall up to 2m, adds texture to a garden as well as huge cut flowers that are also edible as buds. The iridescent purple blooms dry very well. Chokes are a green colour which develops a purple tinge to base as they open. The architectural silvery green foliage adds texture to harvest buckets, and is stunning in late winter/spring arrangements.
